This is kind of a continuation of my last entry, so hope you enjoy!
One of the interesting things about photography is learning to look at the "intimate landscapes". Sometimes when I am out shooting, I can easily get caught up - especially during Spring - at all the beauty that Mother Nature surrounds us and shares with us. It's easy to get overwhelmed by all of the beauty, especially here in the Pacific Northwest where we have wonderful flowers and landscapes.
So, i take a deep breath and see if I can isolate just one aspect or one piece of all this wonder. That's what I did with this flower. There were a ton of them all around, but this one was in part sun and part shadow for just a moment, and I was lucky enough to catch it. Intimate landscapes can be almost anything - flowers, trees, textures, water. I have a personal love for these because they are like capturing a moment in time in small detail.
Touch the world around you, look at all the beauty that we have, and live each moment to the fullest. Namaste.
